When I first started as an entrepreneur, I simply followed blueprints and modeled what I saw was working int he marketplace. Unfortunately, what ended up happening was even though I DID create a profitable business, it wasn't the right business FOR ME. Because I was building my business based on someone else's dream.

To experience true happiness and fulfillment in your business, you want to make sure you're taking YOU into consideration. So here are 3 Steps to Build A DREAM Business That Truly Makes YOU Happy:

Tip #1: First, conduct a Values Profile

When you're clear on what's important to you, you can build a business that compliments that. So what do you VALUE in life? What MATTERS to you? Is it Significance? Impact? Faith? Freedom? Family? Travel? Creativity? Money? Health? There's no right or wrong.

For example, after I almost died (long story), I became very afraid of dying unfulfilled. Now I live everyday like it's my last. Because of that my greatest life values are: Happiness (because I want to die happy), Legacy (because I want to die feeling I've left an imprint on the world), and Wealth (because I want to leave a financial legacy for my children). Those are MY values, now it's time to consider yours.

Tip #2: Next, conduct a Personality & Preferences Profile

When you're clear on what your likes and dislikes are, you can be sure to consider them when growing your business. Are you an introvert or an extrovert? Do you like to engage live or virtually? Are you serious or playful? Are you planned or spontaneous? As children we learn to pay close attention to the needs of OTHERS and by default, become less adept at listening to our own needs.

Remember it's not selfish or lazy to tailor your business to your personality and preferences. By doing so, you're setting yourself for a business you will ACTUALLY want to wake up to each and every day.

Tip #3: Finally, conduct a Change Assessment

Once you have outlined your Values, Personality, and Preferences, identify where your business is not matching up with your needs and what you're going to need to change or keep the same in order to make you happy. Get STUBBORN AS HELL about staying in alignment and REFUSE to sacrifice your needs.

For example, I am an introvert so even though some people might say you should be doing livestreams or speaking on stage all the time, I very rarely take those actions in my business and it's not because I can't, it's because I just don't want to. My life. My preferences. My choice.

Guys, never settle for a business that doesn't make you happy. Take it from me, someone who came "THIS" close to death - at the end of your life, you want to make sure you are HAPPY with the life you lived. Don't let your business get in the way of that.

So if you want to build your DREAM business, then Consider Your Values, Personality, and Preferences and then Identify what needs to CHANGE or stay the same in your business to get it all in alignment. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
