Become A Renowned Industry Expert In 3 Simple Steps

I'm going to make you famous! I mean, it’s no secret that I am pretty big freaking deal *brushes shoulders off* (just kidding… or am I?)… So if you want to be a big freaking deal in your industry too, then you have to be seen as an authority or expert in your niche. No matter your industry… if you want to have name recognition, to make an impact, and experience seamless sales too, you have to be seen as an authority or an expert in what you do!

If you want to wave at your fans like a celebrity and be known as an expert in your niche, then keep reading, because I'm going to make you famous.

No matter your industry, if you want to have name recognition, make an impact, and experience seamless sales, you have to be seen as an AUTHORITY or EXPERT in what you do.

Some people think "authority" means getting thousands of "Likes" on Facebook or "Hearts" on Periscope, but it's much simpler AND FASTER than that. The first thing you need is...

1. Expert Content

People have to TRUST you to see you as an authority. Your content allows you to showcase your knowledge and expertise to your followers in a way that is easy for them to see and consume. If you think about some of the biggest names in this industry, most of them create A TON of content and this is exactly why. Whether it's in the form of blogs, vlogs, podcasts, interviews, or something else...make sure you're creating consistent and valuable high-quality content.

2. Influencer Marketing

Another way to get people to TRUST you is simply to be in the same circles as other influencers they trust. Figure out who the big names in your industry are, follow them, be active members of their communities, and ultimately find a way to collaborate with them so that the community can see that you've aligned yourself as a peer with that influencer. Whether you're interviewing influencers, getting them to interview you, writing guest blogs for them, or something else... make sure to consistently collaborate with other high profile experts in your niche.

3. Authority Branding

Finally, take a look at the other influencers in your niche. You'll notice most of them have invested in their website, in their visual branding, in the quality of their content, in their style... and they LOOK like authorities. We use what we can see to gather information to make decisions and judgments quickly. It's not enough to actually be an expert, you have to look like one too.
