Ep. 73 – International Business Coach Carolin Soldo’s “How To Go From Day Dreaming To Living Your Dream”

  • 1:20 – Introduction.
  • 5:40 – Carolin has a test that you can apply to what you are selling at the moment and this test applies to coaches, course creators and many different service based entrepreneurs and you need to look at whether you are a true expert at what you are offering.
  • 8:04 – When Carolin became a business coach, she became a business coach because she had grown a health coaching business and a nanny company and a manufacturing company with her husband. So she had a business background in different industries before becoming a business coach.
  • 8:32 – The second part of the test is that there has to be a demand. There are some people who are making up programs that are not solving an urgent problem. There are a lot of people who say I want to help you be happier or I want to help you live a more fulfilled life and there is not enough depth to it and nobody really knows what they can get from it, it doesn’t really solve a problem, people don’t know what the outcome is and it doesn’t sell so there has to be a demand.
  • 10:27 – The third part of the test is that it needs to be profitable so the market that you enter needs to have the money to pay you.
  • 10:59 – The fourth part of the tip is that you really have to love what you are doing.  If you are good at something but you don’t really enjoy it, you need not necessarily do it.
  • 12:13 – If you want to create a new program or an offering use the four tips given by Carolin to test whether what you have and what you want to do is really going to work for the world and for you as well.
  • 12:33 – Nowadays you need to be differentiating based on who you are as a person especially as an online entrepreneur. Differentiating based on a system doesn’t work anymore because a system can be copied.   
  • 14:14 – For Carolin, her reputation is more important than anything else and she is very transparent, she opens up her life and her business to her clients and her business is more about empowering women out there than anything else. At the end of the day, Carolin transforms a woman’s life and who she even is. 
  • 16:51 – Carolin’s message is to figure out what makes you unique, what kind of man or woman are you, how do you want to be seen and that’s how you differentiate.
  • 17:24 – The next tip has to do with how you market. You should have a strategy and a plan that you know is going to work for your business. The plan needs to be proactive, it needs to be predictable, and it needs to be scalable. By being proactive she means that you actually need to do something, you need to take action. By being predictable, Carolin means your marketing efforts need to be predictably generating cash flow. 
  • 19:56 – The next tip is that it has to be scalable which means that you need some sort of automation. You cannot scale things if it’s manual and just based on people because you only have so many hours in a day. As an online entrepreneur, if you are not relying on online advertising, you are leaving money on the table and you are making it very hard on yourself.
